Size: 750mL Proof: 80 (40% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Herradura distillery Herradura Añejo tequila is a blend of modern and traditional distilling techniques. Agave hearts (piñas) are first roasted in clay ovens, before being shredded by a mechanical roller, and then fermented with wild yeasts native to the area. Finally, there is a double distillation before being matured in American oak barrels. Herradura Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes Nose: Cooked agave blended with spice and floral notes. Palate: Deliberately smooth with cooked agave and notes of toasted oak and dried fruit. Finish: Creamy, melts across your tongue. Distillery Information Tequila Herradura (officially Grupo Industrial Herradura) is a tequila distiller located in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. It was formally founded in 1870 by Félix López and the business remained in the family for over 125 years. Today it is owned by US beverage maker Brown-Forman, but the tequila is still made in the same place and facilities under a Mexican subsidiary. Tequila products sold under the Herradura name are 100% agave
